Wimbledon 2010 Day 8: M/B Bryan v Ball/Guccione

So… we decided to head off for some noodles and ice-cream (no NOT all together… pfft)… we briefly contemplated maybe queueing for tix for Court 2 to see Hingis/Kournikova in the Ladies Invitation Dubs – but today was just a more relaxed day and we really just couldn’t be bothered to walk up the hill if the truth be told!

We headed back to watch a bit of the dubs and got back at the start of the 3rd set – it looked like it had been quite competitive anyway with just single breaks in the previous two sets to Bob ‘n’ Mike…

This set was closer still – going to a TB … it looked as though Ball/Guccione would sneak it but a rash of UEs saw Carsten Ball hollering in frustration giving Bryan’s squared a mini-break that proved to be the decisive one and they took it in straights.

I missed the Bryans’ victory chest bump … meh!

And with that – we were done.

And this quite possibly is the end of the 2010 Wimbledon blogs – there may be a couple of chances for the Men’s and Women’s semis but only if I am VERY lucky… and there are probably a couple of bonus bloggies on their way …
