Meanwhile back on Centre – despite his jitters in the first set – Nando had taken it on a TB (that might have explained why we saw so many Spaniards streaming out for lunch shortly after we were seated at the restaurant)



Monfils took the 2nd set – again on a TB and we rejoined the action at the start of the 3rd set.
Gael pulled off a great hold to level the score at 5-5 and the aptly named Balle de Break gave Monfils a 6-5 edge. Nando just seemed to cave at this point as Gael served it out to take the match
